Design Overview
This project is a renovation in the Bay Area of California.
When renovating our home, one of the biggest design decisions was
choosing the hardwood floors. Since they would carry through the
entire home we knew we needed a quality product that would look good
in various rooms in our house - from living spaces, to bedrooms, to a
kitchen. We chose the Monarch Plank Domaine Collection because we
loved that they are 9.5" wide planks of European Oak and come in long
lengths for a cohesive feel. We love the oil and wire brush finish
that has held up so well to the demands of a busy family. We chose
the color Montfort because of the way the honey and grey tones
complimented the rustic but transitional look we wanted for our home.
The floors have added such warmth to each room and complimented our
home style while maintaining a quality I would expect of a high-end
product. I know that these floors will last a long time and will
transition well if our style changes in the future-Melissa Holt
